Spring/ Summer 2014 Trend: Wash of Shadow
Spring and summer have overall a more laid-back and easygoing attitude, a characteristic perfectly expressed by fashion and makeup trends, just like this one.
So, this season’s makeup does not require much effort, nor time. Just a wash of eyeshadow on the upper lid, or around the eye is ideal and can be seen as the alternative smoky eye for the warmer months.
In pastel or neutral hues, sheer eyeshadow was the makeup choice of a great number of runway shows in fashion weeks for spring and summer 2014 collections. The rest of the makeup was mainly even more minimal, and in some cases not even mascara was applied to the models’ lashes.

Peachy brown eyeshadow was probably the most popular and it was the makeup of the models at the runway shows of Paul & Joe, Roberto Cavalli, Anteprima, Chloé, Hermés and Etro:
