Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish Review
So far Extra Dimension products, like Superb Skinfinish, come out in collections. In the the upcoming Magnetic Nude Collection for spring 2014, M·A·C is re-launching Superb, in addition to other Extra Dimension products, most of which have never been released before.
Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish has a peachy champagne color and a metallic sheen. It reflects light quite a lot but totally smoothly. The sheen you see on the product is not an overspray.
The formula is quite different from the typical powder products, it is a soft fine powder and not dusty at all. It is a powder product, yet when applied it looks like a cream one.
It’s blendable and longwearing.
I’m not sure if MAC suggests it can be used on eyelids, but personally I use it on my lids as well.
Applied with a duo fiber stippling brush it gives a subtle highlight, a dense brush applies more color that can be used even as a blush, depending on your complexion. It can also be applied with a damp brush for a more metallic effect. You can even apply it with your fingers (why not?).
Extra Dimension Skinfinish is considered to be exactly the same as Estee Lauder’s Illuminating Powder Gelée in formula and Superb is supposed to be the same color as the first Illuminating Powder Gelée Estee Lauder launched (without any specific shade name). Personally I cannot confirm that since I have never seen the Estee Lauder’s product in person.
